Going naked

What do you prefer, case on or case off? I love having my droid naked, but I get worried about dropping it. I have a body glove case from the verizon store and when I take it off it feels like a whole new phone.

Also, do you think there are any cases that make the phone better? I think I'm going to ditch the body glove.

Ps I'm sure there are tons of threads about this, but its nice to have a fresh thread.

I rock my D1 naked as well. The gorilla glass keeps the screen scratch free and it is a LOT easier to take it out of my jeans pocket. I used to have one of those rubbery cases and it just sucked.

never had a screen protector or a case on my o.g. droid since it came home with me on release day. I think the screen is damn near scratch proof - none on mine in 15 months.

Naked baby... they designed the phone to look a certain way so y would I wanna cover its sexyness up... I like the way droids look... its proffessional yet stylish... n ive dropped mine once alrdy n got some scratches on n edge or two but it seems like the scratches blended in now dunno... warranties have given me new phones like 4 times in the last year tho

Otter cases are the best, I got one from right here n the forums and I gotta say they provide you with protection and make your phone withstandable to annything as we'll as keeping it stylish

no case, no screen protector. i drop it, and the corners get a little scratched, however the phone doesnt actually break.

I dropped mine once so far, and i thought it was a damn bad scratch/gouge. After a couple of weeks it kind of just merged with or blended back together with the rest of the plastic!

These things are unbreakable! And yes the glass coating the screen is meant to be scratchproof. I did some digging and found that the company that makes it invented the stuff in the 60s as safety glass for car windows. Freind of mine has had the D1 for over a year and never screen protectors it, says hes had it in his pocket with keys and change and no scratches at all.

I have both. A case and a screen protector but...the case is one of those invisable cases that are the self healing plastic barely notice it...i was thinkin about going naked tho

My D2G is in an Innocase from Seidio and will soon be in an Innocase Active. I work too hard and too much to risk leaving my phone without a case. Also, I'm clumsy and drop it a lot haha.

Just ordered mine yesterday after reading the great reviews on it so I am really hoping for something amazing.

My phone has been in and out of cases since I bought it. Love the naked feel but am too paranoid to leave it out for too long.

U realize that a phone has a case right? The phone isn't running on the metal casing. The metal casing is a CASE for the phone so you are actually putting a case on a case...

I was an idiot last week and left it on the jeep's fender.
Drove away and the sucker hung on with all the rubberized goodness of the D2.
Found it 2 blocks from where I was. I must have squealed like a little girl when I saw it from half a block away laying in pieces.
No worries it was the battery and door laying away from it.

Major scuffs over the 5 megapixel label and on the corners. One minute 1cm scratch over home softkey.

I was gonna get the LG Ally cause they advertise the gorilla glass. Happily found out a few days ago the D2 also has the stuff
