Giving in and buying the Atrix tmw, instead of a Bionic. Convince me otherwise?

I currently have a BB curve with no data plan, on At&t. I wanted to wait and switch to Verizon when the Bionic comes out...But I am tired of waiting for a phone that is pretty similar to one that is out now, plus who really knows if a late April release date is for sure.

I was thinking about signing up for a 1 year contract and possibly switching to Verizon afterwards (maybe when there are quad cores). I know the unlimited data is an issue, but not really for me. Heavy usage will mostly be when I'm within wifi range.

I am going mad waiting to jump on the smartphone ship, and if the only difference is .3" and 3 mp, I'm tempted. However you guys are more knowledgable...What should I do?

Gahhh I've never had Verizon but I guess I'll wait since everyone seems to think verizon>att. I'm just being impatient i suppose

Welt i mean my opinion is that the Bionic will be better supported than the Atrix just due to motorola and verizons relationship but also Verizon has the only true 4G network and are expanding it rapidly. AT&T has a terrible track record with Voice and data coverage and they are not getting better.

I recommend you just sit tight a bit longer trust me you wont regret it:)

The REAL decision is AT&T vs Verizon - Only Verizon has true LTE4G speeds, usually better service (in most areas), and has really forged a Android/Moto relationship. I'd run to Verizon and get a TB now or wait for the Bionic or S2 (if it comes to Verizon).

Even if the Atrix had 5Gigs of RAM I would not even consider it on AT&T.... It maxes out at 300Mbps -Capped by AT&T. Even when they get HSPA you are looking at a fraction of the 12 to 20Mbits you can get from "REAL" LTE - Verizon. If you have lasted this long with the Curve I would say WAIT!!!

Only reason to get the Atrix IMO would be if you buy into the "DOCK" which is somewhat of a Gimmick (IMO) and adds a considerable cost to the phone.

I suppose it would be a little easier to wait if the Bionic had a release date.. The Thunderbolt on a one year plan would be a pretty good deal. That phone is pretty sweet and I'm sure it will do everything needed for the next 10 months.

Better get that TBolt by next weekend then if that is your plan....

I don't even know where to begin with this post... Please show me ANYWHERE you are getting 300Mbps on ANYTHING wireless. And LTE is advertised as 5-12, not 12-20Mbps.

I think he meant its capped at 300kbs sometimes.

I'm really debating doing this. It's a tough call to make but in a year I think I'll be happy with the decision.

All I have to Say is Look at This Chart!!!

300kbps -- thought it would be been obvious this was a typo. Who cares what LTE is advertised at. I have LTE and get 15+ on average - up to 22-24 on both my Samsung LTE mifi and TB.

Muh, it also depends alot on where you live. I used to have ATT along side Verizon and honestly, both got pretty much equal service.

My buddy has an Atrix. it's an AWESOME phone. Very lightweight, monster battery life, quicker than anything Ive ever used (including my Thunderbolt) .. Unfortunately, it has one fatal flaw. It's on ATT.

We did back to back speed tests on our respective phones and it wasnt even a contest. ATT's "4G" is an absolute joke. I dont even know how they legally get away with calling it "4G"
