Gingerbread

Does anyone know if the leaked gingerbread update contains any sort of update for HTC sense?

I know back in April (i think) htc said it would not be updated, bit it has been a while since then.

What will Gingerbread do? How do we know it will be an improvement. Having trouble with HTC sense and settings (manage applications).

HTC announce today on their twitter account the update would be coming in Sept.

Well I hope so they said 3rd quarter so Sep would be the last month in the quarter lol

I have 3.0 on the htc flyer tablet and honesty I couldn't tell you anything works any different from my thundercrap phone. The interface looks different but, big deal. I'll be disappointed if gingerbread gives the same results.

Yeah, it's got me wondering too.

I got the original push earlier today. Thought nothing of it and cancelled it because my TB was rooted. Then it tried to auto-install while I wasn't looking. I got out to my car to turn on Waze and saw the triangle/!. DAMNIT! So I've come home and unrooted it. It just finished downloading. Here is what the screen pop showed:

I bet this is Froyo because I unrooted to an earlier image. So let me run another update check.
(edit) well that sucks. installed froyo. i thought i had this when i rooted back in June. i do a software update check and nothing.

Personally if you ask me I say we won't ever get gingerbread at the rate we are going. How log have they told us it has been coming soon? How much crap have we dealt with this phone? They deserve to give us a possible trade in for HTC vigor even if I giv back my thunderbolt and they say that only gets me an upgrade I will pay for phone bc I'm tired of this crap
