Gingerbread?

I guarantee you the hold up is battery life or lte. The thunderbolt doesn't have battery to spare and gingerbread needs a little more power.

I beg to differ. My battery life on GB is even better than it was on Froyo :)

If you are running gb on your tb, you have probably installed a custom rom, and that is probably the source of your better battery life. GB is slightly more hardware intense than froyo, this is just a fact.

Well yeah, the OTA hasn't released yet so a custom ROM would be the only way to be on GB :)

But how many apps did u lose? Do you get voicemai notifications?

I gained apps... Skype that takes advantage of the front facing camera for one. The only apps I lost were by choice... All the bloat!

You're correct that I don't get voicemail alerts but that doesnt matter taking into account all the benefits. I can always check voicemail whenever I want... :-)

There is no reason to stay on Froyo. For me at least.

+1 except that I use Google Voice for voicemails and text and have 0 notification issues dancedroiddancedroid
