Getting D2G as a replacement for my D2...what ROM should i use?

i have fission on my droid 2, i enjoy it, but im getting a replacement, and i know that fission no longer has any updates etc, so i dont really want to put that on it. i do want to be rooted, and would like a nice rom. any suggestions? i don't want something super buggy, idc how advanced it is, i just want a ROM to remove all the BS apps that come with the phone, and i guess some themes or screen transitions. simplicity really.

Try Hexen. Its nice and simple, stock Android look and feel.

My personal Favorite is MIUI.

I have tried them all... my favs are angelrom first, then hexen.
