Gallery constantly drops newest pics

This used to be only mildly irritating, but it is really getting annoying, since I download pics onto my phone for work. Is there any hint of a fix for this? I don't like using Astro as the picture quality isn't as good, and using them on FB, etc. isn't as easy.

So the pictures exist on the card, but they just aren't showing up in the Gallery, right? Even after restarting the phone?

Yes, they show up after reboot, but it takes this phone so darn long to boot up, that isn't usually an option. Besides, it shouldn't be doing it at all.

There's an app in the market called sdrescan that helps with this problem. I agree with the reboot.
