froyo to gb help

i installed the part1 file and part2 files needed to go from froyo to gb and the instructions say to install to sd card well i plug my phone to pc select storage mode move files to phone and when i go to bootstrap recovery i wont show them , when i download them from the internet do i need to unzip them first with winrar or what am i doing wrong

they should be in the root of your SD card. Make sure they're there before you reboot. And make sure youre not selecting "install update.zip"

You can dl them from the phone. When you do that it will be in the download folder. They need to stay zipped, when you place them on your SD card don't add a .zip
