New X owner here.

There are a bunch of useless apps that I will never use that were pre installed. Trying to put them in the trash doesn't get rid of them, so is there a way to put a folder on the app page and put all the useless apps in it to remove clutter?

I haven't figured that out yet.

Welcome to the group. :)

Unfortunately if it's like the Droid, you'd have to root first to remove any preinstalled apps.

You can also download LaunchPro beta (home replacement app) from the market - there is the ability then to hide apps in the app drawer (without rooting)...

I tried to install LaunchPro and the phone hung up. I had to remove the battery to get things going again.
