Faster power on?

Is there any way to make the phone start up faster? I know that if the phone if frozen I can use alt shift del to restart the phone, but I want it to only turn on, and a lot faster too. I don't have my phone rooted.

If your phone isn't rooted, no you can't speed up powering on. If you were you can use something like the Liberty toolbox to disable startup animations. That speeds it up by a few seconds.

What i did was to remove the boot animation w root explorer.

I'm rooted and on custom rom, any ideas for me? When advising please include how to and how to revert it back to how was. Thanks!!!

rename the file /system/media/bootanimation.zip to .BAK easy fix

EDIT... you need to have access to that folder, a normal root explorer won't give access to system folder, just search how to do that as I don' t know off the top of my head
