Facebook now listed twice under each Contact

Hi!!

I'm relatively new to the forums and completely new to the world of Droids. This morning when I booted up my droid and went to work, I noticed that each of my Phone Book contacts (who have Facebook) now have two profiles listed in their contacts but they are duplicates.

I think this might have to do with the fact that I have HTC's Facebook app installed and the Facebook for Android apps. Is there anyway to fix this so each of my contacts doesn't have a duplicate facebook listing? It's frustrating!! Thanks!

Go into Settings>Accounts and Sync and go into one of those FB accounts and uncheck "Sync Contacts". This will give you 1 copy of the FB contacts. If you don't want any FB contacts in your contacts list then do the same with both FB accounts.

I keep trying this but it still isn't working. I have one facebook account linked in with two programs.

Facebook for HTC Sense has three options:

Sync live feed
Sync contacts
Updated Schedule

Facebook for Andriod has just one:
Sync contacts

I've tried both combos of leaving one synched and then trying the opposite. I either have no facebook contacts or two. Am I doing something wrong and failboating?

Try refreshing each sync, then going into your contacts and refreshing. You could just link the contacts....that's what I've done.

They are already linked when I have both versions of facebook uploaded but each contact has two facebook profiles. It seems unnecessary.

Try rebooting and let it start fresh.
