Facebook App causing problems

Has anyone else experienced this? I'm just wondering if it's a D2G thing, or a Froyo thing, or a Fission thing perhaps. Or maybe it's just my phone in particular.

I upgraded from Facebook 1.5.4 to 1.6. It had an issue where it would try to refresh every second (according to complaints online), and therefore it would eat data, devour battery, and make the phone very hot. It would actually lose power while charging, it was that bad.

I have since tried 1.6.1 and 1.6.3. Same issue. I keep having to go back to 1.5.4.

No, facebook app is just that bad sadly. I'm still using 1.5.2 :laugh:
Does that say something about how bad it is?

Clearing data and cache didn't work... Still stuck on 1.5.4...

Too bad because I like being able to upload videos.

I'm on 1.6.3 and it doesnt even pull up on the Battery Manager!
Of course I have sync turn off except when I use it.

This is probably a stupid question but have you tried logging out of Facebook then log back in? This happened to me and logging out then logging back in fixed it.
