extreme battery drain .... running cm7.1

this is out of the ordinary ....

ive been on cm7.1 since october (on the latest gb build), no major issues except for waking up yesterday to find the phone off with the battery completely spent.

the night before the battery was @ 90%, nothing really using data, wifi was off, and no apps in the background.

i am using the extended capacity motorola battery, for about 1 yr now. i had to grab my stock battery from the fridge to use for the day, then when i got home i recharged the extended battery. so far its running fine ....

im wondering if this is how these batteries tend to die .... ill run it a few more days but i depend on the phone as my alarm, so maybe its time for a new battery

Did you by chance delete anything for your rom on ur sd card? When you use your phone, is it running normal or is it laggy?

And is your phone warm to the touch when idle?

not warm to the touch, and i havent deleted any system modules ...

i called verizon and they replaced the battery ....
