Enabling SlideIT Keyboard

I've tried to download, install and enable the SlideIt demo keyboard three times today. It downloads and installs fine. I go to enable it and it shows that it is checked but when I go to either e-mail or messaging the standard keyboard is still there. Is there something I'm missing. I'm not about to pay for an App that has such poor web support (Swype is no longer an option). Any help would be appreciated.

Long press when you start to type.. Then select input method and it should come up as an option

Doesn't work at all and there is no way to readjust the setting that I can see in the menu. As noted, the website only indicates selecting the SlideIT keyboard which is already checked as enabled and the standard keyboard is still there; pretty frustrating. DISREGARD - I just figured it out. Boy is this really not intuitive!

SlideIT Keyboard Activation

I got mine to work. You have to long press on the input field, not the keyboard. When you long press on the text input window a menu will come up and allow you to select the slide keyboard.
