email wont sync

As of today my yahoo email account won't sync on my device. Every time I try refreshing it tells me that there's a sync error and that my username/password are wrong (even though they're correct). Any ideas?

Ok. Well, you might want to clear the cache. Personally I use the Yahoo mail app for their email. You might like to try an email app like K9 or Maildroid.

Mine did that too for the last two days and magically started working again last night. I think there was either a Yahoo or Motorola server problem that has been cleared up now.

How do you clear the cache?

You go from Settings into Manage Apps, select the app and press Clear Cache.

If you want to clear all the cache:
1) Power down
2) Power up by holding Power and Vol Up/Down simultaneously
3) Vol Down to Recovery and Vol Up to enter
4) When the Android appears, press Vol Up/Down simultaneously
5) Vol Down to Wipe Cache Partition
6) Press Power
7) When done, press Power again to boot up

Won't that reset the phone? I'm also having issues w/Yahoo & GMail not syncing using the default widget.

I've seen that come up once too often on this phone, so i switched over to the Yahoo Mail app.
I like it better now because it has a spam folder option.

Same here. Actually I use MailDroid for my Cox account, Yahoo Mail for my Yahoo Account and the stock email for Gmail. While MailDroid could probably work with all 3, I don't have any problems.

The thing is that I prefer using the widget because I can just scroll through my emails on my homescreen without having to launch an application. Is there any email app that comes with such a widget?

Just use MailDroid for everything. Has a widget too.
