Email sync and mail staying in outbox

I've recently been having trouble with my email automatically syncing on my droid x. When I first got the phone my emails would sync automatically. But now its been a few days since its done it on its own. Manually syncing works to receive my mail, but for some reason my outgoing mail stays in the outbox and doesn't send. I've uninstalled my task killer and have removed and re-added both my corporate email and hotmail accounts but nothing changed. Any suggestions? Thank you!
