Email problems

I have had my phone since christmas. I ONLY have gmail so it's not like I'm trying to pull up anything else. Since the day I got the phone, it has always instantly notified me if I have an email. For some strange reason, just in the last couple of days, it won't. I have to pull up gmail and hit the refresh button. Any idea what is going on?

Double check and make sure your sync is turned on. Yes, it's probably far fetched but you have to start somewhere.

Reset it

Pull the battery for 10 seconds and restart it. It will come back just fine. The question is how long will THAT last. I'm having show stopping problems with my email accounts other than my Gmail. They just stop receiving and sending when ever they feel like it and it does it everyday.

I'd bet the reset works for you though.

I have a droid RAZR. Since I got it in september I've had no issues with email. All of a sudden when I got the new update 2.3.6 the email doesnt sync. I've tried deleting my aol account from the phone and re adding it. That didnt help. I researched online and some people are having problems like myself and said something about the update messed up IMAP servers??? I have no clue what that is. Has anyone else heard of this?

The current work around seems to be to use a third party email app, like k9 or another of your choosing. Hope this helps?

email syncs

I just deleted my email accounts and reloaded them using the google email for one, and then for the other did not use the preset options of aol, yahoo, etc but used 'other' and both email accounts are now syncing and reflecting changes that I did on the computer or phone
