email confusion

hey all,

ok so i linked up my gmail account to my incredible as well as my hotmail and 2 business emails. Everything is working fine except..... when i receive an email to my gmail account, it comes in 2 times, almost seperately, it will show that i have an email, then i click my mail icon, and go to gmail an open the message, then it still says i have an email... how can i fix this

the email first comes up as a notification and when i click on it it opens in "gmail"... it doesn't make my "mail program" have a 1 by it... then it does shortly after that... annoying

So you are getting double notifications on the phone of new mail, but not actually duplicate emails into the Gmail inbox, right?
