Easy tether pdanet connect for 30 sec then drop

I have been using pdanet on a droidx. Just upgraded to Samsung note 2. Set up pdanet. Needed to reinstall the driver. Followed all the instructions on pdanet site. Still doesnt work. It connects automatically when plugged in and works great for 30 secs. Then it quits working and when I try to restart it tells me that the phone is unplugged (when its not). Got frustrated and installed Easytether. Exactly same story. Help?

Yikes! 125 views and no answers! Somebody must have some insight here. Id really like this to work. It seems so close yet Ive done everything I can think of and no end in sight. Im sure its a wrong setting of something but I just dont know what....
