I'm working on a friend's rooted Droid X (stock ROM) that went into a sort of bootloop after the battery died. It boots to the Motorola "M" logo then freezes. Numerous battery pulls later, I flashed the full 2.3.340 SBF several times already but each time with no result. RSD Lite 4.9 shows it passed, but the phone still won't boot past the M. It seems a lot of other people have this same problem and they just boot into recovery and wipe data/cache to fix the problem. But I can't get into the system recovery at all, no matter how long I hold down home + power.

Any ideas?

Just out of curiousity.....so you pull the battery, hold down power and home....reinsert battery and you don't get into recovery?

Once in recovery if you go to advanced you will find "davlik cache".....wipe it. Should fix bootloop
