Duplicated Text Messages

I have a droid 2 and every time i get tex is shows a Duplicated Text Messages how do i stop it from doing that is drives me nuts

If you are not using the stock messaging app, then you need to turn off notifications in the settings.

If you are, but have another text messaging app installed, then uninstall it.

I did that and it is still doing it
