Recently i applied Gala x 1.5 to my rooted Droid x running 2.2.1. i now have the droid x stock "Text Messaging" app (looks like an envelope with a letter inside), but the rom installed the android stock "Messaging" app (the green one with a white smiley face on it) which is the one i want to get rid of. so now i have two stock texting apps on my phone and im receiving duplicate messages.
ive looked and couldnt find the exact answer to my problem. i have found posts with people having double message problems with 3rd party messaging apps like handsent and chomp sms and have also read not to uninstall a stock messaging app as i would no longer receive or send texts.
please help me out
