Droid x Motorola Verizon shuts off at half

Purchased Dec. 4 When battery indicator gets near half, screen goes black. This takes about 5-6 hours. Only way to revive it is to recharge. SD card frequently initializing. Phone shuts (reboots) off occasionally for no reason. I am ready to return it if I can't resolve the problems.

:welcome: to droidforums. Sounds like a hardware failure. Warranty replacement might be in order. Also, in the future, there is a Droid X Rescue Squad section.

I agree with teddy....the phone is new and acting up. It is still stock and you've done nothing wrong with it. Bring it into a nearby store and have them look at it. You most likely will be walking out with a phone that functions better!
