Droid X Shutting Off, Freezing, etc.

For a few months my stupid Droid X has been shutting off, restarting, deleting music, and freezing while listening to music, texting, or using any apps. I do not have any hack on the phone and have dropped it a lot but not hard enough for any real damage. It started a few months ago with an SD card problem and then an update problem, and nothing has gone uphill at all. Is there any way to fix it or should I just trash the piece of **** and get an iPhone?

Extra Details:
- When the Droid "shuts off" it goes into a blank screen where I have to remove the battery to turn in back on
- Most of the problems occur while listening to music
- The phone likes to just start playing music randomly when I'm in class.
- At one point there was a keyboard issue where I couldn't type anything without the keyboard disappearing until I had to reselect the insertion point

Do you have any task killers?
Did this happen before or after your update to Gingerbread?

Swyped and sent through the interwebz to you!

What have you tried to fix it? Resets, SD card formatting, purging of unnecessary/unstable apps? Have you contacted customer service with your problems?

it started before my update to Gingerbread and yes i have Advanced Task Killer

I would uninstall the task killer asap! They can cause major problems!
I agree with the stuff Bekka said...
And, If all else fails, just take it in to the Verizon store!
