Droid X managing contacts and groups

I had the Omnia and just switched to the Droid X. I was unable to beam my contacts via bluetooth so I used a program called Funambol to sync my contacts to the Droid X from the Omnia. Now everything is under a group called null. Is there an app or some way over managing the contact groups. I need to move everything from group null to the Phone Group.

You are aware this is a google phone, correct? You can probably handle your groups and contacts easily at www.gmail.com. Sign into your account and set them up on line.

No groups built in?

The flip phone I had before my droid (Moto KRZR) had contact groups that could be easily used to send text to a large number of recipients.

I love my Droid X, but am surprised that I had to download an app and fiddle with gmail to regain this functionality.
