Droid X Custom Boot Logo I'll create

it might be getting confused. because when it hits 13 it wants to read
boot_0013_013 instead of boot_0013_001. just a guess. try renaming the files to something simpler.

Thing is, it plays the files in alphabetical order.

Machines do no get confused because it "wants" to read a filename as something different. It just does what it's programmed to do. That'd be like saying "Windows 7 can't open a picture called "x17" when all the others go y01, y02, y03..y16..y18. Maybe it wants to read x17 as y17?".

i went through and just renamed every single file. just to be safe. one thing i noticed is the files are .jpg's. ive never used jpgs as a animation. i always used pngs. does it matter? they are both images sooooo i doubt it? but thats just how i did it.

All I use is jpeg. They are larger I think, but it's just what I've always used.

No, your right. I've went from 000 to 016 in a folder and it doesn't miss a beat. It just reads it in sequence no matter what.

I got her fixed a little for you. Not sure if it's to your liking but it finishes all the way till home screen.

And scarmack renumbered them for you if that's what you want also.

I just realized that I can't delete the old bootanimation because I lost my superuser rights in the Gingerbread update =__= gahhhh....

Is there a root method for Gingerbread yet?

I have no clue man. I don't plan on updating or running any leaks. I like the way my phone is. Any Verizon updates are a hassle, to me at least.

I know a few people were saying z4root was working for them but that was for one of the leaks or an OTA.

Not sure if you're talking about me, but I wasn't able to because the Gingerbread update killed my root access; in other words, I can't edit or delete the old bootanimation I put on there until I get root access again.

I'll try it out as soon as the next root method comes out.

I got yours to at least show up. But it runs so fast I thought my phone was gonna explode. And when I changed the fps down below 30 it was blank screen. And 50 fps is insane.

I batch changed them to jpeg's and used a different desc.txt file. If you want me to post it real quick you can grab it then I will pull it. Let me know.
