Well, it plays through perfectly, but it stops at an early point in part1 (not part0) before the phone fully loads.

Aren't bootscreens suppose to play until the phone FULLY loads?

Edit: @chkmate: Yes, I am overclocked. At least I believe so. Ever since the Gingerbread update my root has been cancelled. Just went into SetCPU and it's telling me "Root Access Not Detected". It's operating in Read-Only mode right now.

when it stops, how long does it sit there? 5 seconds? 15 seconds? it plays until your phone boots up, which is usually 45seconds?

Well, I'll test it out right now.

19 seconds on the Mboot logo
10 seconds the phone plays the boot animation then freezes
16 seconds of frozen boot animation

This is all in order when powering off then turning on my DX.

Also, I'd like to note that it -always- stops at a specific frame in part1.

I've had same issue on mine before. I do not edit desc.txt myself, unless its just the frame size. I always build off an original or someone elses. I've had this happen when I've used too many images and when my image sizes were larger due to more color and more picture. If that makes sense.

Sometimes I cut frames and it works better. And you always want to make sure all your pics are the same size and desc reads the same.

it might have something to do with the file naming you have it as. example.

boot_0001_001
boot_0002_002
boot_0003_003
........
boot_0011_011
boot_0012_012

thats all in part 0. which is played once.

THEN! you go to this file naming system
boot_0013_001
boot_0014_002
boot_0015_003

it might be getting confused. because when it hits 13 it wants to read
boot_0013_013 instead of boot_0013_001. just a guess. try renaming the files to something simpler.

Part1
file015
....
file099
file100
etc

Well I have had the sequence in numbers continue and it works fine. And I've ran through part0 and then start over in part1 and it work fine also.

I've done part0 run from frames 000 to 193 and then have part1 run 000 through 040.

I've seen them numbered with underscores, but only between the name and numbers. Example: droidxtr_00081.

So not too sure.

Well actually if his are numbered in sequence, then has an underscore followed by more numbers, it could be an issue. That's why I said I've only seen the underscore in between the name and numbers

I'm gonna download and check it out.

@Dark_Forge. I just noticed when I went to download your file that it was only 3MB's. There may not be enough in there to run all the way through and that's why it's hanging. I will still check it out but that is small. I don't think I've made any under 6MB and started having trouble over 11.5MB.

You have to put majority frames in part0. He had over 200 in part1. So I took a 160 frames from part1 and put it on the tail end of his part0 folder

Edit: Actually I'm not sure you "have to" put majority into part0. It's just what works for me.

i went through and just renamed every single file. just to be safe. one thing i noticed is the files are .jpg's. ive never used jpgs as a animation. i always used pngs. does it matter? they are both images sooooo i doubt it? but thats just how i did it.
