Droid X camera sound

Doesn't seem to work on droid x

I tried putting it in silent on the home page, putting the volume all the way down, and holding power and clicking silent mode.

None of these seem to get rid of that beeping sound when you focus. I heard there are 3rd party camera aps that might get rid of it, but that they might not work on the droid (I can't connect to the app store right now for some reason.)

On the bright side, the video camera doesn't seem to make any noises.

Turning camera sound off.

The alert made by camera is tied into the alarm volume, so the only way for you to disable it is to turn the alarm volume all the way down (If you do not use alarm this shouldn't be a issue). Go to Settings > Sound > Volume > Uncheck "Use Incoming Call Volume for Notification" and then turn Alarm all the way down..

if your phone is in "silent" mode and you still head the focus sound you do not need to get an app. The sound in considered an alarm. You have to go to your alarm settings and make sure your alarm is not set to ring in silent mode
