Droid X bricked?

Tried to install custom ROM. Got to the end where it asked to upload from SD card. Couldn't find any on card I had downloaded. Panicked. Crapped out phone. Now only turns on to Moto screen. Does nothing else. Any options?

Tell them you'd like the phone reflashed. They'll say its not a good idea, tell them to do it anyway.

Theres no reason to when you can do it yourself though..... RSDlite is waaaaaay easier and faster than driving to the store, waiting for your turn, then arguing with the person about reflashing it, then waiting. Cut out the middleman and flash it yourself, its not that hard.

Stuck at rds lite

Took Abe's advice. Have rsd lite, latest (4.9) moto driver, and what I presume to be 3.4 sbf. But it won't let me start flash on rsd. Followed instructions, downloaded directed items. Can do boot recovery. Would like to do this on my own, but I'm far from the many tech savvy people on this site. I can't open the sbf, if that makes a difference.

Bricked continued

That's a bit much for me. I'm in boot recovery .04, not .03 Should I just go to the store and give them 20?

I did the download from your page Abe where it said 04 needs newer version. But I'm not sure it's the one. It shows on my desktop VRZ_MB810_2.3.34_IFF_01 Size is 4.00kb. Is that the correct one?

It was the "current listed" SBF and other files download. Should I download oler sbf file 2.2.1 sys ver 2.3.340 system only?

Also, I think my problem is on the download of the sbf. I'm not saving it correctly or something. When I run rsd it will NOT load in the right side box, as I've seen it happen to every one else on youtube. Phone connects, boot screen is good, just can't get rsd to get in to "start" mode.

By the way Abe, I really do appreciate the help you've given me. Great site with great people.

Jaamop. Rooting phone is easy, and has caused me NO problems. z4root is the simpliest way. I don't know how to link, but you can go to youtube and search z4root droid x. Having wireless tether is worth it by itself (app market mueller, lemons buxton version). Enjoy.
