Haven't yet had your fill of the Motorola Droid X? Well, for the past two weeks reviews have been spewing out from all four corners of...well... the internet. And like me, I'm sure you have read and watched just about all of them. However, what seems to elude many of the reviewers is exactly what you should expect out of the latest version of Blur, running on the Droid X.

Well yesterday, chuongvision, a popular Android blogger/youtub'er has just published a walkthrough of the Droid X's Blur UI, including a full breakdown of the new widgets and launcher, as well as some new Speech-to-Text features, all examined in great detail and in 720p to boot. I was not convinced, but after watching the video, I was rather impressed with the newest implementation of Blur. Check out the video below, and let us know, are you impressed by the new 'Blur', or would rather have vanilla Android? Also, does this version of Blur seem less intrusive than older versions, or is it just me?

After you watch the Blur walkthrough above, check out this (very short) review by a tech writer at the Associated Press:

Thoughts?

Thanks to Just4747 for the video links!

I like the new moto blur. And as for the droid X i dunno i think i have to see it in my hands first before I say if I like it or not.

Awesome Phone and MotoBlur.

I just love my Droid too much, also it will cost a pretty penny to upgrade it.

I'll just wait for a 3.0 Droid *something* and LTE Compatible.

Thanx for the post of that first review. THAT's what I've been waiting to see. I was kinda worried about the Motoblur coming on the X. I am so glad to see that it's not going to over-shadow the Android OS. And after seeing some of the other things at work there, I am that much more anxious to get my X. dancedroid

yeah i love the phone but i think i might just wait for lte.....the ap review was horrible she should go back to the mailroom

Haha I still can't believe that goofy girl's "review"..so pointless!

:)

Thanks for the shout-out!

lol totally agree.. it was pretty pointless..

and yes =) thank you for the review.. probably the best I've seen so far, definetly got me more interested

lol Ok I can understand knocking it for being uncomfortable when holding it up against your face while in a call because of it's large form factor; but knocking it because you can't cradle it between your ear and your shoulders when your hands are doing something else...Really? I mean really?

...Newsflash lady it's 2010, the hands free bluetooth headset has already been invented.

Does anyone know if you replace the launcher with something like LauncherPro whether or not the custom Motorola widgets will still work ?
