Droid X .602 ?

I rooted and have the tethering but it takes me right to the Verizon page. How do i get tethering to work? My friends phone picks my signal up on his phone but on the laptop it says it is connected but takes me to Verizon and i cant go anywhere else.

How did you root? I rooted and it seems to work on mine.

what wifi tether app are you using? I use android-wifi-tether - Wireless Tether for Root Users - Google Project Hostinghttp://code.google.com/p/android-wifi-tether/ and it works fine, make sure you go into settings and select Droid X as your phone

i just updated to 605 and rooted again with the petes zip file and am still having problems tethering. I used the link above and bonicule tethering but nothing works. Anybody have advice?
