Droid off at night?

I am thinking of keeping it on because I sometimes get reduced battery power turning it off every night. Got a new battery from Motorola and it was good for a week and this morning the battery was totally dead. Last night at 1 am I turned it off with 50% left, this morning at 8:30 am dead. Would not turn on.

I use the app "Sleep My Phone" which turns Airplane Mode on and off at times that I set, so it really helps sustain my battery life per charge. I love it.

Nope. I prefer that my Droid is fully charged in the morning (too many threads regarding lost battery while off) and ready for the day. Plus it's my alarm.

I like to wake up to a fully charged phone, so, no. I also have my phone sync and download video and audio podcasts and various RSS feeds overnight. I use an app called Sound Manager to turn off all sounds and turn off all notification vibration. The only thing I have going through in the middle of the night is vibration for phone calls (I want to be reached in case of an emergency).

Why turn it off at night? If you want to save battery, then plug it in for the overnight. I also leave it on in case someone is calling me with an emergency or something (My cell is my only phone line)

I usually turn it off at night but after reading some of these posts about decreased battery power I think I will start leaving it on.

That happened to mine on Monday, but I was at work. Had like 80%, turned it off for a couple hours, turned it back on, and it was blinking red.
