I do not know if verizon will allow you to buy a pre for the subsidized price with out opening another account or charging you an etf. The verizon rep here will have to answer tha.

I agree, but can you switch phones after ur 30 days and not get charged an etf, Im lil new to verizon i had att before.

Wow, I didn't mean to upset anyone with this thread. I was just saying palm pre plus webOS is slick, I've had 3! 3 driods in the past week. 1.) slide was loose 2.) It kept shutting off on its on, and freezing on lock screen 3.) This one is thanks to verizon for sending my a ****ty refurb phone, it looks like someone stuck it in a blender + there is a marble sized dent where the yu buttons are, the y sticks, and I can't use the U. So I'm waiting for my new one that will be here monday, lets see how it goes!

There's your solution.....If you can find a problem with this one and they will allow what they call a multi fru and you'll be able to get the Pre (you may even get 50 bucks back)

Just re-read your post...you could have actually requested a Pre plus instead of the Droid that's on it's way. The rule is 3 bad phones in 90 days.

Honestly man...get what phone you feel is best for you .....everyone is freaking out on him for wanting the pre.....it is still a nice phone and the droid sasly isnt for everyone.

My mother and sister both really dont care for the droid they dont like the look of it and just the overall rugedness( i love it). So my mom went to the store and instantly fell in love with the palm as did my sister. My mom bought it on the spot and my sis is waiting for her upgrade which is soon. Everyone can compare all of the speed and screen sizes but sometimes its just the look of the phone and the simplist of capabilities that a person requires to by a phone....



So if you want the Palm get it.
