Droid Eris reset?

About 6 months ago i found an HTC Droid Eris......I looked all over for the owner and i could not find anyone to claim the phone. I thought why not use it for myself. Is there anyway i can reset this phone back to stock because there is a passcode and i cant use it at all. Any help would be great!

No not yet but is there anyway i can do it on my own? Im not looking to activate it yet i just want to reset.
