Droid Eris Email Notifications

I have had a Droid Eris for about 2 or 3 months. I have my Gmail synced up to my phone, but everytime I get an email, I get the same email twice. Is there 2 email apps on the phone? Not sure what it is, but I would like to only get 1 notification for email. Anyone have a suggestion? thanks.

Yeah, IIRC it comes with 2 seperate email apps. One called email, and then the gmail account linked to your phone(and the gmail app, obviously).

If you use gmail, you probably have it setup in both the email app and the gmail app. Remove your account from the email app.
