Droid-1 trickle charger?

How does the charging system work on the droid1? I understand that when on a charger one can remove the batt and the fone still operates. my question is this : When my fone had been charged to 100% is it best to take it from the charger, or is it better to leave it on for another 5-8 hrs? (i charge my fone during the day, while im home) most of the time that it could be on the charger im not really using it, unless i take a call. (which will b on blutooth) Thanks.

As long as you don't let the phone charge for more then 24 hours you should be fine with leaving it on the charger. I put mine in the dock every night, even if its close to 100 percent. It charges to 100 and stays on the charger for several hours after that.
