Droid 1 replacement shipping from Memphis?

I ordered a replacement Droid for my faulty one I got 2 months back.

I made the order on Saturday, and I received the tracking code today from VZW.

The tracking code shows that it should arrive tomorrow, but the wierd thing is it is coming from Memphis, TN.

On the other threads it shows everyones replacements coming from Texas.

This shipping weight is 1 lb .5 kg and is shipping to Minneapolis.

Does this mean Im getting something other then a droid 1?

However, possibly Motorola has a warehouse in Tenesse we don't know about.

I see no reason why they would send you something other than a Droid 1 unless you either have gotten multiple Droid replacements (I'm talking LOTS) or you paid them

I also now recall, doesn't Asurion have an office down in Memphis, TN?

Did you make your claim through Verizon/Asurion?

They only come from TX if it's a warranty refurb.

It will be my first warranty replacement and I didn't ask for a different device other than the d1.
I ordered it through Verizon warranty, I do not have insurance or Asurion.
Its supposed to be a warranty refurb.
The only info I can get is that DX's and Incredibles are shipped from memphis.. hmmm

I'm receiving a refurb today, but it's from Fort Worth (Door Tag)

Even a refurb D2 wouldn't come from Memphis.

You either got a brand new D1 (they forgot to sell it), a D2 or a DX.

I'm leaning towards the first, but then again, you never know.

I think it was Assurian that was sending Droid 2 or Incredible because they were out of Droid 1 for a while. I would not read too much into the location that the shipment originated from. If it is a warranty replacement from Verizon, I would bet money that it is a refurbished Droid 1.

The insurance company can just send people without insurance new devices?
Doesn't make sense.
Also, I have not heard of anyone getting a d1 refurb from memphis, yet.

Once again, looks like you lucked out with a new Droid.

Memphis is a warehouse, not a repair facility.

Assurion is somewhere south of me, (I'm in VA).

Assurion will NOT send you a device unless you have Insurance.
