Droid 1 keypad lock

Whats up this is my first smart phone and i have a droid 1, and i was wondering if there is a way to get the screen to lock while in call, I find that my cheek tends to hit buttons while in call causing hang up and muting.

If its like most others, quick press the power button to black out the screen.

have tried this, doesnt seem to work, as soon as the screen is touched it is activated again. thanks for the suggestion

Settings, security, set screen lock password or touch pattern?

The screen wont lock in phone mode AFAIK.

It should black out due to the proximity sensor, but if the sensor isn't working correctly then this will happen. You can try, once in the call, to press the home key, then press the power button to see if that works.
