Double notifications...

For starters, if this is a bug that has been discussed, I'm sorry. I haven't been able to get on I try to stay away from the app. I'm getting two notifications(I have it set to vibrate) every time I receive a text, one before I actually get the text, and another when I do. And it's NOT because I have two separate messaging apps both set to vibrate, just to clear that up. It started happening with my moms Droid 2. So, she's obviously completely stock and barely knows what she's doing so I assumed it was something she did. Now, it's happening to me. I also switched ROMs today and it still does it. So, I'm wondering if anyone else is having this issue? Or if there is a fix for it?

Really? I wonder what it could be then. I'm only using the stock messaging app. so I know it's not that. Plus, it's vibrating before I actually get the text. Hmm...

I use Handcent and PE 5.0

I can't use that ROM, unfortunately. I was using CushZero and ChompSMS, then switched back to MIUI and just haven't restored my apps yet.

Hope it rectifies the issue. Just curious why can't you use PE?

You and me both! Haha. And because of temps. I flashed it and it was in the 130's and what not. I didn't try flashing any other kernels though, I don't like having to flash them over and over until I find one I like or works. CushZero and MIUI are the only two that will run decent. Wish I had my original Droid.

I've not have any temp issues. Let us know if the restore rectifies the problem,
