Does Motorolla Xoom 3G work all over the world?

I am getting a motorolla xoom from USA and i live in Egypt will it work in egypt on the vodafone 3G network

The XOOM uses CDMA 3G. According to this site, Egypt uses GSM 900, so the 3G XOOM will not work in Egypt.

However, the XOOM does have a sim slot for 4G, but I have no idea if it is compatible with GSM sim cards.
