If you study up on the current root method for the Note 5 it is said to work with all variants of the Note 5 minus the AT&T and Verizon versions. On the main root thread there is a sub link to "test methods". If you follow the link you will find many test kernels which are said to root many variants of the Note 5. If you read through the thread you will find people asking about their version of the Note 5 and see that they are being encourage to atleast give it a try.

While it is clearly stated that these methods do not work for the Verizon or AT&T variant there have been a few users who decided to "give it a try". Their phones will no longer boot. They can only get the black screen of death. The only fix for this would be to flash a stock image in Odin, but that is only if you can get your Note 5 into download mode, and currently their is no Verizon or AT&T stock file available. Whatever you do DO NOT try current root methods on the Verizon or AT&T Note 5 unless you wish to brick your $700 phone.
