I've read mixed reviews about this and I would like to know from personal experience how it works for you. If you do recommend it your settings would be nice.
I'm currently on rubix 2.01 and have noticed that battery life isn't quite as good as liberty.

I used them on 2.1 and noted some benefit. with 2.2 and custom roms I would get 1.0 battery life difference and saw no benefit. This was on the X.

On stock 2.2 it gave me maybe 45% more time, on fission I didnt notice much of a difference but Id say 15 to 20%

Settings are advanced with no scheduling.

3G off with screen off, turn on after unlock. Wifi on but I user control wifi through the power widget since I only use it at home.

I'm about 90% positive that it just depends on how advanced the device/android version you're using. I had a samsung moment that would drain batt like crazy, and JD was a godsend, but on my DX I didn't notice any benefit at all. I do however recharge every night, and the DX keeps up with me throughout the day without needing JD. if you go for a longer amount of time between charges i'll bet it will help out by a few hours.

Something I always mention when talking toward battery loss is task managers. Androids built in task manager only stops tasks when the ram starts to fill. These other task managers keep you ram almost completely clean. The problem with that is that everytime you open an app it has to reload its data back into your ram. Basically task managers drain your battery by doing a standard android function every single time your screen locks, and it does it to every app instead of just the ones hogging space...

TL;DR: don't use task managers

You can do everything that JD does manually and get better results because you don't have an app running to save battery. However, if you're lazy or forgetful, it's a neat little app.

Oh I know about task managers haha. They are awful.

I have mine set to advanced, poll every hour for 2 minutes, wifi connect turns 3g off , hotshot locations saved to do the switch work for me. Count me in the "if it'll do it for me why bother " category. That's one less thing to think about when out and about with kids, like having a decent phone camera vs carrying a standalone.
Ultimate, imo, doesn't save any more than the beta. Mine says average about 1.6 saved, whatever that means. I got Ultimate to support the developer and though it's fancier it didn't make a bit of difference either way.
The worse your signal and the less often you use your phone the greater the savings. All it does is control your radios on/off

They help a ton on stock, outside of stock is kinda mixed though. I run it on fission but i dont think it really helps much.

I agree it doesnt help much on fission....it actually doesnt agree well with fission either. I was getting a host of issues with JD doing its job that I hadnt had on stock.

For example, at work I have no signal throughout 90% of the building. On stock I may check my battery usage on break and after 5 or 6 hours without JD cell standby will be the biggest battery eater at 37%. With JD it uses maybe 18-21%. In an area with good signal the gain is minimal. So for me, JD is essential at work and possibly more than halves my battery loss. But outside of work i may benefit only 15%.

On Fission, whether or not I ran Juicy, cell standby was always less hungry than the display. JD may have lowered it's batt usage by 5 to 10 percent.

For my phone it says JD has helped increase battery life by 95%. Right now my battery is at 47% and it's right around the time of night where my battery should be at 7%. I'd say JD is definitely doing its job and saving battery. Turning data off when screen is off was the deal breaker.

Also, coupled with droid overclock it helps battery life a ton. I used quickclock to get battery life saving settings then applied to droid overclock. Now my phone is quick and has better battery life. I can't complain.

What settings are you guys using for droid overclock? I have a droid 2 and I'm using the default profile on JD and wish there was a nice list of settings for this baby... mine gets stuck waking from sleep sometimes and would love to try someone elses settings...

my question is what settings are you guys using on a droid 2 for droid over clock and juice defender?

Didn't use my phone too crazy that day but without jd my phone still would have been completely dead way before this.

Screenshot was from froyo with liberty and honeycomb theme but the last post is correct. Look it up. The new blur is amazing compared to froyo.
