Disable notification bar icons when using foxfi

Is there any way to disable one or both of the notification bar icons that appear when using foxfi tethering on a non rooted Maxx?

Also if anyone lives in Boise, Idaho or around there if you could post what your 4g data speeds are that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
