Disable email at nite?

Issue: Email notification wakes me at night but I still want to hear texts.
A "silent" email notification would disable during the day too.

Any ideas / apps on this?

I believe you can go into setting/accounts -and disable gmail sync. Or use the power control widget and turn sync off before you go to bed, thats what I do .

Or you can use a different text program and disable the sound notification for e-mails.

I use Chomp SMS for my texts.

you can also check out tasker....its like $6 but it is an amazing app.
you can set it up to have silent notifications for certain apps at a certain time during the day. along with a TON of other things

i dont even have a power control widget any more...i have tasker turn on WIFI when i get close to home, BT one when i get to work, screen dims and all notifications (except phone calls) set to silent.
its an expensive app, but once you get it set up, it is totally worth it.

I use an app called "Timeriffic". Works like a charm.

If you use gmail you can install gmail notifier, it allows you to schedule when and what notifications you want.

You can also try "my profiles". It allows you to set schedules for when to use enable gps, bluetooth, vibrate, wifi, change tones, keep the device unlocked, etc.
