Disable DROID Sound On Startup?

Is there any app in the market (or just a general sound seeing) that will disable the startup sound saying DROID? I really don't want my phone to turn on at school, just to get taken away by my teacher.

Try turn the volume to mute. That works for me with my Droid.

Yes. I almost always keep my phones on silence mode and both my droid and evo make no sound on boot up.

Trying out Sprint for a month. Sent from my Evo using Tapatalk. 4G is pointless when you don't live in one of the few available network areas.

The latest update for the Samsung Droid Charge has an option in Settings/Sound to turn down/off system sounds.

"Silent Boot" -- Get it in the Market, free app. It works probably 95-99% of the time. Once in a great while the sound slips through, but its close to foolproof.

I'm not 12 years old, so I hated that boot-up sound.

U could always root n flash the latest miui rom...then u can pick ur boot sound (downloaded from a list, or even use an mp3 of ur choice) and choose ur boot animation as well....
