Dialpad timeout prob

Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but for some reason when I'm on my phone the dialpad times out almost immediately. Very annoying when dealing with automated systems. About every second it times out, even if I'm in the middle of pressing buttons. This only happens when in talk.

Which rom/theme are you using?

My phone is rooted but I'm a noob. Nothing fancy, just adw launcher.
