Dialer

Please forgive my stupid questions :)
I just got my d2g about a week ago. Every time I try and call someone, I get a weird 'be dee dee dee' tone & the call may go thru just about half the time without me having to do it over again. The Dialer pad is shown, but I can't always get the right number to come up the first time. Then, if I try and make another call, I can't get it to forget the last number it seemed to default to!
I also have 2 Dialers listed if I go to manage applications. One is 12M one is 16M but both are 2.2. Can anyone help? :)

2 dialers? I'ver seen it before, something isn't right. But I'm rooted so I did a sbf and got everything back on my D2 the way it was stock, then rooted again. This may be your issue. I'm not certain this would work but if you're not rooted I would suggest a factory data reset. See if that second dialer goes away.

The other thing I'm thinking is maybe your phone is roaming. I'm not certain but see if you have something in your settings that allows you to put that on CMDA only. Then try a call and see what happens.

This is not a stupid question at all by the way, it's a very intriguing question.

:) Thank you for the reply!
I've got the mobile networks-prefered network set @ CDMA then the CDMA settings is set to Automatic. The verizon guy did that to help improve battery life since Global is default on the phone. (Didn't notice any improvement there btw. )
I'll have to wait to get things off the phone before doing the factory reset. I'll let you know how it works!

Well, resetting didn't change it, so I went back to the store. The sales-tech guy has it on his phone as well, not a D2G, but the regular D2 didn't. We figure it has to do with the global function! Makes sense anyway! Thanks for the suggestions.
