Phone number shortcut not working?

Hello all -

I recently updated to GB and I sure wished I didn't (as I am now seeing a lot of people also wish).

Anyway, my biggest issue now is that when I do a google search for a business and I get the results with their phone numbers, when i click on the phone number it brings up the dialer pad but it doesn't automatically load the number! So I have to memorize the number, then go to dialer and try and type it in.

With Froyo when I clicked on a phone number it would automatically load it in the dialer and I could just call it.

Anyone else having this issue?

Go into settings>call settings and check "assisted dialing". The phone will most likely need a reboot to apply the change but this will allow you to have the phone number auto load into the dialer again.

THANK YOU! It worked. I never knew what "assisted dialing" was so didn't think to check it was disabled when I upgraded.

problem solved. now I'm moderately pleased with gingerbread
