Have you imagined how two great new HTC devices could do against each other when tested by an independent software? Well that is what Androidcommunity wondered and apparently tested for us. The benchmark test was for this two new devices, the MyTouch 4G, an upcoming T-mobile 4G Android devices, and the Desire HD, a new device that we should see a variant of it come to Verizon Wireless on the 23rd of November if rumors are correct.

The two devices have the same processor and same amount of RAM but just configured differently. And that different configuration for the MyTouch 4G put it ahead on this little test, allowing it to take down the new Desire HD by a pretty nice margin. The Desire HD came in ahead of all other available Android devices running Froyo at 1,666. Now that number is nice, but the MyTouch 4G's is significantly better at 1,846.

These are two great devices. I cannot wait to get this on Verizon Wireless so I can start video calling friends with the nice front facing camera. As for the Benchmark score, I want to know what you guys usually get when you run it on your device. I know a lot of you have an OC'ed device, so please mention that and your score below. Waiting to see who is the king of Benchmark around here, and please don't lie.

On another website (can't remember where...) the desire hd barely beat out the mytouch w/ both getting over 1800, but it's the fact that they are both running similar hardware that gets their benchmarks so close. They are both even running the 2nd gen snap @ 1ghz.

OC Droid X 1.2 ghz running RubiX Focused 1.0. I have gotten higher (1902 once) with OC closer to 1.4, but it's not stable most of the time for me and most of the time the benchmark test freezes. Still running 1.2ghz has made me very happy with phones performance

Not that it's really necessary but I wish my Droid could get that high. I have a Slayher 1.2GHz lv kernel and my highest was 1468 which isn't exactly bad but 1800's is great

Well with better cpus, gpus, and other hardware, these phones can do more with less, allowing them to get better benchmarks.
