has the update been offered to YOU yet?
please tell us
1. where you are?
2. were you always with verizon?
3. how long did the update take?

thanks, as always, in advance

Got mine last night, well this morning dec 10 about 130am took maybe 5 min. Got notice when in break room started installing and by time I got my charger and found an outlet it was done. Was thinking it would take a while but nope and didn't drain the battery either

You'll probably get it tonight. It's actually 2.0.1. If you're in a hurry however you can download it manually. Just head to the news section there's a thread on how to do it.

Not yet, Arizona 15 year Verizon customer

The title says it all. I've had the phone 3 weeks; love it and waiting unpatiently for the update. I downloaded the manual version but want to do it the legal and right way; but, if it ain't here by noon on the 11th, i'm going for it.:motdroidhoriz:

Had the Droid for about 3 weeks and I still haven't received the update. I'm in Nashville, TN. My girlfriend got her Droid 2 weeks ago and received the update this morning. I think it's completely random who is getting the updates and when.

I haven't gotten the update yet either and I'm too chicken to do the manual:redface:. I am in the western NY area and have been with Verizon about 7 years. I had my Droid about 3 weeks also...I hope I get it tonight. However, I have been very fortunate. I read all the problems many of you had with your Droid and mine has been perfect. I didn't have to deal with the camera issue and everything else is very fast and smooth...I can only imagine how much better the update will make it!

Mine started right after I looged on to a wireless network and I heard some rumors that for people on roaming it will work that way (i'm not on roaming). So you could try that and see if it works.

You can check out where all the updates are located based on this user-contributed map I created.

There are already tons of update threads out there with instructions on manually updating so I am going to close this.

Check out the map here: DROID OTA Update Map
