Couple questions.... need help

Let me start off by saying that I absolutely love my X2. I have it since May of this year and have had virtually no problems. The one issue I did have, ended up being a faulty memory card, discovered after I exchanged my phone. Okay, now I have a coupe questions. My phone has gradually been getting slower and slower. I have cleared all the cached stuff and I reboot it every other day (like the guy from verizon told me to do). What can I do to speed my phone up? Secondly, my phone is not vibrating when I receive a text or call. All of my vibration settings are turned on. Problem with the internal motor? Anything I can do to fix it? Lastly, I have heard a lot about freezing/disabling certain apps and rooting phones. How/should I do this? I use my phone for everything and just want to get the most out of it as possible.

Thanks in advance.

If you open the messaging app, then go into the settings for that app, there should be a box to check for vibrations. It took me a long time to figure it out.
